As someone who has been diagnosed with a progressive muscle disease, who now has difficulty walking long distances, I have been reluctant to navigate airports and airplanes since prior to the COVID pandemic. However, in late June through July1st, 2025, I took a trip involving four flights, three airports, and several long wheelchair rides.
In this episode, I talk about other considerations now that I am a “differently abled” person, including the boarding process, choosing seats, arranging for wheelchair support, and more.
