When I Rise VI honors Ronni Sanlo and Kelly Watson, life partners (and legally married to one another), each with amazing personal achievements and talent, which, when combined, truly make them a Power Couple.

When I Rise, benefiting and created by Opera Arts, recognizes an individual or individuals who have overcome unfair obstacles in life and have risen against those odds to become outstanding human beings.  Such individuals show up in the world as artists, athletes, activists, professionals, as workers, and more.  These are people who embody the true human spirit and who have forged a path that others recognize as a noble endeavor.
