Hartong is an award winning comedienne (Ladies of Laughter National Finalist, Curve Magazine – One of America’s Funniest Lesbians) who has been performing and touring for over twenty years, and the powerhouse behind the recurring Lez Out Loud comedy night at Runway Bar & Restaurant in Cathedral City, California. Among her other favorite shows and venues, Don’t Tell Mama’s, Provincetown, Montreal Fringe Festival, and headlining at Iceland Pride, where she marched in the Pride parade next to the mayor.
The sold-out February edition of Lez Out Loud benefits The L-Fund, which as explained at L-Fund.org, “provides emergency financial assistance to cis and trans lesbians in crisis across the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas. Wanting to help beyond emergencies, our programs have expanded to include education assistance, health and wellness aid, and grants for lesbian artists. Founded by lesbians for lesbians and the only organization of its kind in the country, we work closely with the community at large to improve the lives of our sisters.”
