“A Moment For Love” is an LGBTQ rom-com about Trevor (Adam Huss), a singer songwriter haunted by a terrible secret, who meets out and proud fashion designer Bobby Love and becomes his magical chosen family. As their friendship grows and Trevor interacts with the Wonderland that is Bobby’s world, Trevor learns how to let go of the ghosts who haunt him, and best of all, surrenders to love. It is said life is stranger than fiction. Winner of the Lily Tomlin Best Comedy Feature film Award at San Antonio QFest International Film Festival; and the Best LGBTQ feature film award at Tarzana International Film Festival, this movie is a semi-autobiographical film of fantasy couture designer Bobby Love, and contains actual footage from Bobby’s outrageously wild runway shows. Filmed in Los Angeles and Venice, Italy during Carnivale.
“A Moment for Love” is a film with intention, at least three intenstions:
- Create an outrageous and entertaining LGBTQ rom-com feature film;
- Highlight the importance of mental health and suicide prevention, which is a cause dear to Bobby as he had lost several friends and loved ones to suicide. This suicide prevention cause is especially relevant and important to the LGBTQ youth community and the Artists community. “A Moment For Love” is dedicated to the Trevor Project; and
- Showcase the most fantastical and gorgeous costumes and sets. There are multiple scenes from Bobby Love’s actual runway shows footage, a magical hilltop castle above Los Angeles where much of the magic unfolds; Part of our movie was also filmed in Venice, Italy during Carnivale, which adds greatly to the costumes and production value.
Executive Producer, Designer and Actor Bobby Love has been a Couture fantasy costume and fashion designer based in Los Angeles for over 10 years. Bobby specializes in fantastical, over the top costumes and fashion, and has put on numerous runway fashion shows in United States. Bobby received a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles (Mayor Eric Garcetti) in 2018 for his contribution to the fashion industry, and a Certificate of Honor from the City and County of San Francisco (Supervisor Rafael Mandelman) in 2024 for his film “A Moment For Love” and work promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youths.
