Marilyn 100: Palm Springs Pride Sets the Stage for a Centennial Celebration and World Record Moment
From May 29 through June 1, 2026, Palm Springs will transform into a living tribute to Marilyn Monroe as Palm Springs Pride presents Marilyn 100, a citywide celebration honoring what would have been the icon’s 100th birthday.
Blending Hollywood glamour, community participation, and LGBTQ+ advocacy, the four-day event culminates in an official Guinness World Records attempt to gather the largest number of people dressed as Marilyn Monroe in history.
The Main Event: World Record Attempt
The centerpiece takes place on Saturday, May 30, in downtown Palm Springs near the Forever Marilyn statue.
Organizers aim to surpass the current record of 254 participants by assembling 500 Marilyns for a synchronized toast. Participants must register and wear the official Marilyn Icon Kit, which includes the signature white halter dress, platinum blonde wig, and admission to the official record-setting celebration.
Official Marilyn 100 Festival Rundown
Thursday, May 28: Marilyn-themed experiences begin across the city, including the Marilyn Glam pop-up boutique and costume kit pickup.
Friday, May 29: The official celebration begins with kickoff events, live entertainment, themed programming, and Marilyn film festivities.
Saturday, May 30: World Record Day features the official Marilyn Monroe gathering, synchronized toast, daytime programming, entertainment, and evening celebrations.
Sunday, May 31: The celebration continues with citywide events, dining experiences, nightlife, and additional Marilyn-themed programming.
Monday, June 1: Closing Day includes final screenings, cultural programming, and the conclusion of the Marilyn 100 celebration.
