This year’s Palm Springs Pride Week carried the powerful theme “Be You,” emphasizing the importance of self-expression, inclusivity, and love. This resonates deeply with Palm Springs’ reputation as a city that values the dignity and worth of every individual. The festivities delivered an atmosphere where everyone can truly be themselves.

The Pride Parade, a cornerstone of Pride Week, featured over 225 captivating entries, making it a spectacle not to be missed. PromoHomo.TV®’s coverage will streamed via a hardwired HD internet connection, three cameras and a team of five including Director/Producer John McHugh-Dennis, announcers Jonathan P. Mugridge, Delfina Zarate and Clifton Tatum and Executive Producer/Host Nicholas Snow.

The 2024 Palm Springs Pride Parade broadcast was presented by PromoHomo.TV® and EIGHT4NINE Restaurant and Lounge, with the support of media partners KGAY106.5 FM and PinkMedia.LGBT, and by the PromoHomo.TV® patrons who support production for as little as $3/month at www.Patreon.com/PromoHomoTV.

Viewers may also support the network by purchasing Hopefulsexual® merch at www.Hopefulsexual.com (a shortcut to the clothing on Amazon).

“The mission of PromoHomo.TV® is connecting the circuitry of humanity by creating programming for LGBTQ+ everyone,” said Nicholas Snow, Executive Producer, Founder and Host. “I’m proud that PromoHomo.TV® streamed the parade to a global audience that wants and needs programming for and about the LGBTQ+ community. Our broadcast is now the quintessential historic record of the 2024 parade.” Snow, a Multimedia Entertainment Activist who has been out of the closet and in the media for four decades, is building PromoHomo.TV® into an online streaming network dedicated to “connecting the circuitry of humanity by creating programing for LGBTQ+ everyone!”

Palm Springs Pride organizers announced the 2024 Pride Week theme is ‘Be You,’ which embraces the power of self-expression, inclusiveness, and love. The theme reinforces the city’s reputation of cherishing the value and dignity of all people. Pride in Palm Springs is a celebration where you can be yourself and be true to who you are. Events occur in downtown from October 31 to November 3, 2024.

As Palm Springs mayor pro tem and Palm Springs Pride president and CEO Ron deHarte put it, ‘Be You’ is more than a theme. It’s a warm invitation that says, ‘You are welcome, valued, empowered, and supported in Palm Springs.’ Our city is a place where diversity is not just accepted but celebrated. We invite you to join us in authentically celebrating in our diverse, supportive, and affirming city.

“Around the world and in many cities in the United States, LBGTQ+ communities are facing attacks and legislation aimed to take away established rights of equality. The fight for freedom continues,” added deHarte.

Pride Week, presented by the City of Palm Springs, is not just a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. It’s also a significant economic driver for our city. As the largest annual event in Palm Springs and the largest multi-day gathering of LGBTQ+ people in the Coachella Valley, it’s a boon for local businesses. In 2023, official Pride Week events attracted over 200,000 attendees. They generated a $38 million direct economic impact for area hotels, shops, restaurants, and other local businesses.

The 38th annual LGBTQ+ celebration will include a traditional slate of Pride events from October 31 to November 3. The Pride Festival showcases downtown Palm Springs and the Arenas District. It features multiple stages of live entertainment, an exhibitor marketplace, and nightly block parties. The Pride Parade featuring 225 parade entries is Sunday, November 3; it steps off at 10:00 am in Uptown and travels along Palm Canyon Dr to Amado.

Greater Palm Springs Pride (www.pspride.org) is a nonprofit community enhancement organization established to promote public education and awareness of the LGBTQ+ community’s individual rights and civil liberties. Palm Springs Pride has tirelessly advocated for equality and diversity since the first Coachella Valley Pride event in 1986.

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization brings together the skills, talents, and vision of our diverse community through its programs, including the Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast, Pride Honors Awards, OUTstanding Voices: Palm Springs, and the Pride Parade, Pride Festival, Big Gay BBQ and the downtown Arenas District Block Party.

How, exactly, is Nicholas Snow building an online television network?

For now, all the series are produced and hosted by Snow, but as the network grows, his vision is to lead a large creative team and perhaps collaborate with a major television network. Think Netflix.

Just as other Creators use crowdfunding platforms to support their film and television projects, Snow encourages viewers to become one of “The PromoHomo.TV® One Thousand”, folks who voluntarily subscribe to the free content for as little as $3.00/month via the Patreon platform.

“I support PromoHomo.TV® because we live in a time of increased hostility towards the LGBTQ+ community,” explains Robert Karl, Queer author. “Representation is more vital than ever, and PromoHomo.TV® amplifies Queer voices, promotes positive stories, and stands strong against those who attack us. PromoHomo.TV promotes the Queer community.”

Join Karl and about 30 other folks to grow The PromoHomo.TV® One Thousand…
